At Éclaté we strive to be as detailed as possible when describing our products. Each of the products is ranked – please find the guide below.

We advise to carefully look through the photos of the item you want to buy. Additionally, if you’d like more details and/or pictures please don’t hesitate to contact us through our Instagram or WhatsApp.

  • Brand new: Item that has never been used and will come with all the original tags.
  • Pristine: Flawless condition, no signs of use, these items are without tags but show no detectable signs of use.
  • Excellent: Lightly used, these luxury items are in near perfect condition and show very minor signs of wear. If there are any imperfections, they are barely visible.
  • Very good: These luxury items may have some visible wear but remain in near excellent condition. Very good condition are often older items with signs of ageing, such as very minor discolouration, wear, scratches and creases which are fully described in the description and photos.
  • Good: Luxury goods that are in good condition but show moderate flaws or signs of damage and wear. Each item in good condition will have accurate description and photos.
  • Fair: Well loved item with obvious flaws or signs of wear. This item might have scratches, discolouration and/or tearing. Each flaw is described and shown on the photos. The item is still wearablThis is an item that will be sold at a lower price compared to similar one in better condition.

Shipping

Éclaté offers free standard shipping on all orders over 1,000. For orders valued less than 1,000 a small shipping fee will be applied. Shipping prices will be determined by the item size & destination. Please proceed through the checkout to receive a shipping cost calculation prior to placing your order.

We aim to ship the products within 1-2 business days. However, in some cases, please allow 3-5 business days for your order to be processed for shipping. We make every effort to fulfil the orders as quickly as possible. Shipping time depends on the country of destination. Please note that Éclaté will not be held liable for shipping delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

We ship directly to all EU countries.

At this time, due to the nature of our business, items cannot be picked up in person. Unfortunately, we do not own a physical store. All orders can be shipped.

Orders shipped outside of the European Union may be subject to additional duties and taxes. Any applicable duties & taxes on deliveries must be settled by the recipient. Please check with your local customs and duties office for more information on these charges. International customs duties, shipping costs and sales taxes are non-refundable.

Once your item has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Just click the link in your confirmation email and follow the instructions to check the status of your order. You can also log into your account and select an order in your order history to check it’s status.

Returns

Items delivered to European Union can be returned within 14 days of receiving the package. If you wish to return your item, please do not remove the security tag. We cannot accept returns of items with the tag removed. Returned products must be in the same condition as received.

Items sent outside of the EU are non refundable.

Each pre-loved item we sell comes with a security tag attached. The tag is easily removed with a pair of scissors, however, the tag must remain attached in order to return the item.

The buyer is responsible for postage fees and the parcel until it has arrived safely with us. We highly recommend returning your items using a tracked & signed service to ensure they arrive with us and prevent the items from being lost by the chosen postal service.

Items sent outside of the EU are not refundable.

Selling

Wa aim to provide you with a quiote within 2 business days.

The quote you receive will be valid for 7 days. If you accept the quote, you will have an additional 7 days to ship the item to us. After that time, the quote will expire. To get a new quote, you will need to resubmit your item.

There could be a variety of reasons why we have not been able to successfully quote your item at a given time:

  • Your item may not have passed our quality checks.
  • Your item may be similar to other items we have in stock at the moment. If this is the case, we encourage you to re-submit your item in the future (usually in a couple of weeks), as our inventory changes often.
  • Your item may not be something we are looking for. At the moment we are interested in: handbags, small leather goods, shoes, silk scarves and other accessories.
  • Your item may have a low resale value (due to the style, color, size, condition, etc.)

The person who buys your item will have 14 days to make a return. If they make a return, the sale won’t go through and the product will be available for sale on our website. We will inform you if that happens.

This will depend on the price, condition and popularity of the item. Some product might sell instantly and others will need more time. We will do everything we can to promote your item on our website and social media in order to sell it as quick as possible.

Unfortunately, we cannot predict exactly how long it will take.

Our commission reflects our work and dedication put into selling your item. We will take professional photos, promote your item on our website and social media, as well as handle the actual sale. We offer competitive commission rates (which are usually around 40-50% in other consignment stores).
